A TOUBAB IN THE GAMBIA  by  NICK HAMLYN

In July 2001, my wife and I were privileged to be able to accompany a party of teachers and sixth form students on a week long field study of the Gambia. The country made a profound impression on us and we have since visited the country on several more occasions. As European visitors, we were 'toubabs' to the Gambians and we were reminded of this by the children who would call out the name whenever they saw us. The experiences of the visits inspired this collection of poems (and a little prose) and they are illustrated with a large number of photographs.

The book is available from us at a cost of £7 including postage and packing to addresses in the UK.

LOVING ANNA  by  PIPER S.WINN

Primary schoolteacher, Cassie, with a number of boyfriends in her past, meets and falls deeply in love with Anna, an enigmatic and beautiful novelist. Their tempestuous relationship changes Cassie and her life, but not in a good way. It impacts also on the lives of Cassie’s friends. Who is the real Anna Hardwick? Cassie is not sure whether she really wants to find out. Especially when the glimpses of Anna that she does discover seem to be leading her down a spiralling path towards tragedy.

The story will shock you and make your heart leap by turns, but it will keep you turning the pages until the very end.

The book is available from us at a cost of £9 including postage and packing to addresses in the UK.

WRITING FROM A GREEK ISLAND  by  ROGER SAWTELL

Roger Sawtell and his wife Susan have visited the Greek island of Amorgos each year from 1993 to 2018. They have explored every corner, gone swimming in every bay, visited many of the churches, eaten in most of the tavernas, and made numerous friends. As well as writing his reflections, he turns some of their experiences into stories about the island, its culture, and its history. The slim volume (44 pages) is fully illustrated with photographs and drawings.

Available from us at a cost of £5 including postage and packing to addresses in the UK.
